Founded in 1989 by the Hong Kong Government, The Open University of Hong Kong was retitled ‘Hong Kong Metropolitan University’ (HKMU) on 1 September 2021. HKMU has indeed come a long way, maturing into today’s modern comprehensive university that offers a variety of study modes for both post-secondary students and working adults. Currently enrolling about 10,000 full-time undergraduates, 1,900 postgraduates, and 9,000 part-time students, HKMU strives to respond dynamically to community needs, tailoring its professional programmes to address market trends and industry opportunities, opening up clear career paths for our graduates.
自1989年,香港公開大學由香港政府成立,已於2021年9月1日,正式改名為「香港都會大學」。香港都會大學不斷增值,自我提升,時至今日已經成為一所現代化的綜合型大學,致力為高中畢業生及在職人士提供多元化的課程與學習模式。本校現時約有10,000名全日制本科生,1,900名研究生和9,000名兼讀制學生。為了積極回應社會需求,本校增設不同的專業課程,以切合市場趨勢及業界發展機會,協助學生開拓和規劃職業生涯。
