His Lineage can be traced back to The Prophet of Islam, Muhammed P.B.U.H. through Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali as He is the descendant of the 7th Imam, Imam Musa Kazim. Shamm-e Burhani R.A. has preached love and justice, and has verily remained a guardian and a guiding light for all humans, and His Holy Shrine (Dargah Shareef) is visited by thousands of pilgrims every day; many of them belonging to religions other than Islam. His descendants too have forged a path of humanity and oneness, preaching unity amongst humans through the Khanqah, Khanqah-e Mashhadi (Mashhad is the former capital of Iran, home of the 8th infallible Imam, hence the demonym ‘Mashhad-i’). •~Managed by Khanqah-e Mashhadi, under the guardianship of Sajjada Nasheen Peer Saiyed Jalaluddin Mashhadi Al Musawi~

Shia or Shi'ism is one of the two main branches of Islam. It holds that the Islamic prophet Muhammad designated Ali ibn Abi Talib as his successor and the Imam (leader) after him, most notably at the event of Ghadir Khumm, but was prevented from the caliphate as a result of the incident of Saqifah. This view primarily contrasts with that of Sunni Islam, whose adherents believe that Muhammad did not appoint a successor and consider Abu Bakr, who was appointed caliph by a group of Muslims at Saqifah, to be the first rightful caliph after Muhammad. Shia is based on Muhammad's hadith. Shia consider Ali to have been divinely appointed as the successor to Muhammad, and as the first Imam. The Shia also extend this Imammah to Muhammad's family, the Ahl al-Bayt ("the people/family of the House"),[5] and some individuals among his descendants, known as Imams, who they believe possess special spiritual and political authority over the community, infallibility and other divinely ordained traits.
