Koji was rescued at 7 months of age, totally untrained. I am a proponent of 'balanced training'; a mix of non-violent/non-dominance corrections and treats. I am not a certified trainer, but have been involved with training dogs since childhood. I have worked extensively with working dogs of all breeds, temperaments and ages and I have experience in dealing with a wide range of behavioural issues. Wild dogs are a huge problem in many parts of Australia causing millions in losses to production due to wild dog attacks both directly and indirectly and place a large strain on land holders both emotionally and financially. Wild dogs also carry some diseases that can be transferred to humans and other animals such as hydatids, mange and leptospirosis, the latter can cause cattle to miscarry. It is a real challenge to hunt wild dogs and is very rewarding when you can get onto them, sometimes, just sometimes you are able to get some footage, enjoy the vids. Safe hunting!
