Defined as a border-breaking musician and percussionist, Ben is known for his contemporary Senegalese drumming, explosive burning rhythms and cutting-edge hybrid drumming techniques. In his live show ‘One Man Tribe’ Ben creates a massive tribe-of-drummers sound with his ten-piece Senegalese drum set and presents his compositions on the Xalam, a Senegalese string instrument. Ben's debut solo album 'Xalam' featuring West African legends Doudou Ndiaye Rose, Khaira Arby and Amy Sacko, released on World Music Network hit #5 on the Transglobal World Music Charts and #5 on the World Music Charts Europe. The album received a 5 stars 'Top of The World' review on Songlines magazine and a 4 stars review on DownBeat Magazine.
