Channel of videos related to efficient use of technology in professional practice.
Videos presented by Michael Dew, a former structural engineer turned lawyer who believes that:
(1) all professionals have an ethical obligation to be "computent", meaning effectively using technology to provide efficient service to their clients;
(2) competent use of computers is not a substitute for knowledge of "traditional" substantive topics required to practice a profession, but is now an essential additional area of competence in order to meet reasonable client expectations; and
(3) exceptional results can be achieved through skillful use of everyday tools (Word, Excel, Adobe, Outlook, Windows File Explorer), and while other specialized software (e.g. litigation management software) has its place, it is often not needed.
