Eme grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and did competitive gymnastics through college. She earned a BS in Kinesiology from Bowling Green State University and certification through the American College of Sports Medicine, as well as a MS in Exercise Physiology from The University of Illinois, Chicago. In 2002 she was certified in Pilates through The PhysicalMind Institute and opened Pilates PLUS Cross-Training Studio in Chicago which she sold after 12 years. Eme has a video blog of various Pilates-inspired exercise innovations, and authored a series of books titled 'Pilates Expanded' which are available on Amazon. She is currently residing in Snowmass, Colorado.
