Who are MMG? MMG is a three year project devised by a cross-community group who were concerned about the future of mathematics. It aims to increase the number of students studying mathematical sciences in higher education. We are funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) and the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales (HEFCW) and MMG is managed from the University of Birmingham. We are developing, trialing and evaluating ways to increase the number of mathematics students. In particular, we want to be able to inspire groups of learners who have not traditionally been well represented in higher education
