I was born at some important crossroads in human history, when technological advancement makes it easy and cheap to travel anywhere in the world, but at the same time unique and amazing cultures are all assimilated into one by the powerful vortex globalization is. I hope I will win in this race against time and experience as many different cultures as possible before they are completely wiped out. I know future generations will be less fortunate. I will try to document this pursuit of mine along the way, and upload here glimpses from what I've witnessed. During the 8 year war, around 14 million people died and another 80 to 100 million Chinese became refugees in their own land – fleeing the conflict. This is an rather outstanding series of documentaries made by China Central Television. You may find the conclusions this series made on each individual countries one-sided and not giving the whole picture. It is true, but keep in mind that the series generally looks at economic development, the other issues surrounding it, and, at the end, i would say it consciously looking for things in history that China can learn from, therefore it is talking about development rather than solely talking about history. I violate their copyright since I think it deserves an wider audience and CCTV actually show the whole series on their website as well. CCTV, free feel to contact me if you what these videos removed.
