La Maestra Loca, means the crazy teacher. It was a name that was given me by a group of third graders, and before that a group of 10 year olds in China. I absolutely embrace the title. Acquisition Driven Instruction (ADI) is the teaching methodology and approach that I use in my classroom. I also use Organic World Language (OWL) strategies. I am constantly trying to revise my teaching practices to provide the best combination of methodologies to my students. I want my students to ACQUIRE the Spanish language rather than learn about it. www.lamaestraloca.com

Veterans, eye witnesses and survivors of the longest conflict of WWII – the battle between China and Japan – tell moving, shocking and harrowing stories of what they lived through. During the 8 year war, around 14 million people died and another 80 to 100 million Chinese became refugees in their own land – fleeing the conflict. If you, or someone you know, has a story to share about WWII in China – please get in touch via Twitter, Facebook or our webpage (see below). Many of these stories were filmed for the upcoming CICC, History Asia and IFA mini-series “WWII: China’s Forgotten War” hosted by Professor Rana Mitter. Watch the full programmes on History Asia.

Romanian based in Shanghai, China, I am genuinely interested and passionate about people from all walks of life. I was born at some important crossroads in human history, when technological advancement makes it easy and cheap to travel anywhere in the world, but at the same time unique and amazing cultures are all assimilated into one by the powerful vortex globalization is. I hope I will win in this race against time and experience as many different cultures as possible before they are completely wiped out. I know future generations will be less fortunate. I will try to document this pursuit of mine along the way, and upload here glimpses from what I've witnessed. Join me on this trip, and if you enjoy any of my content, share it with your friends, subscribe to my channel, and support me on Patreon.

This is the now-retired channel of travel author Josh Summers, documenting his decade of life in China's western region of Xinjiang. For most people, Xinjiang is known as the place of concentration camps, oppression and cultural genocide. While this is true, what gets lost in the news is the incredible beauty of the Uyghur culture and the breathtaking scenery of the region. Josh's videos remain here as a time capsule of a history and culture that is slowly being erased. Most of what you'll see no longer exists today. If you'd like to connect with Josh - even though he is no longer in Xinjiang - you can do so here: **Instagram** - https://www.instagram.com/joshssummers **LinkedIn** - https://www.linkedin.com/in/joshssummers For all inquiries related to licensing of footage, please use the email address listed under "business inquiries".
