Outdoor channel where we as a family (or as individuals when the kids don't want to go!) enjoy the outdoors. Camps include wild camping, bushcraft and survival camps as well as educational kids camps teaching the basics of bushcraft. All activities take place on private land. We brave the cold in Alberta Canada, and will be showing many ways of surviving and having fun outdoors. It's not all camping here although that is a large part of it and it usually accompanies the other outdoor activities that we like. Hiking, fishing and hunting are also high in the forefront of our general activities. Experience with us our own unique personalities together or apart as we try to bring your family a new adventure to watch every week. We have many different styles of filming on the channel from silent bushcraft films to commentary videos. I'm an adventurer, explorer, filmmaker and author who believes life is better outdoors. The channel documents my adventures and expeditions in the wilderness. I prefer self-propelled movement. Hike, paddle, ski, snowshoe, claw. Whatever moves me by my own steam. My notable Canadian expeditions include crossing 700km of my home island Newfoundland by snowshoe, boot & packraft and 1000km of Labrador & Northern Quebec by canoe. Both trips plus many more can be seen on the channel. I fish, forage & hunt. This is camping, survival & bushcraft. Long challenging expeditions & also shorter relaxed tours. My dogs are usually along for the ride. And they carry their own weight. My mission is to inspire others to utilize, appreciate and respect all nature offers.
