After a long career in traditional boatbuilding and boatbuilding education including founding and running the Sydney Wooden Boat School, boatbuilder and sailor Ian Smith is putting it all down in books and videos. The channel features a heap of videos on wooden boatbuilding, including a series (playlist) on Traditional Clinker Construction, and a series on Carvel Planking. There’s also heaps of sailing videos, mainly featuring Sydney’s historical 18-footer replica fleet especially Smithy’s own boat Britannia, a replica of a boat from 1919.
